Lithography of a kid by Jan Hendrik Willem Wittenberg (1883-1963). From 1908 to 1912, he studied at The Hague academy.
As subjects he chose mostly still life, animal scenes and landscapes. He was a member of various art associations such as the Haagse Kunstkring, Arti et Amicitiae in Amsterdam, the Amerfoorts Kunstnaarsgilde and the academy of fine arts in Rotterdam.
In 1912, 1913 and 1914, he was awarded the royal grant for free painting. Several pieces by Wittenberg are currently owned by the national museum in Amsterdam and the Kröller Museum (KM 110.759).
