This Shohin juniper (Juniperus Itoigawa) is a magnificent Shohin with dense branching and an exceptional nebari. This tree requires a bright location, for example in full sun, except in summer when it prefers slight shade. Protect against severe frosts (-5°C) and late frosts, as well as drafts. Maintenance: The Juniper (Juniperus Chinensis) is a bonsai to be placed outdoors, requiring full sun. In the winter, the tree should be protected when temperatures fall below -10 degrees Celsius. Ceramic: deep pot Watering: Be careful not to over-water your bonsai juniper, because it prefers short periods of drought. You can mist your tree regularly, especially after repotting. Repotting: In March, every 3 to 5 years. Cut half the roots and repot in a larger pot. Fertilizer: Slow-decomposing organic fertiliser in spring and autumn.
